The Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation is officially incorporated and the Development Fund was transferred to the Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation. The first Foundation Board of Trustees: chairman Bonnie Payne Koenemann, ZZ; Judy DeMasters Winter, ZZ; Lois Beers, ΒΓ; S. June Smith, KK; ex-officio member, Diane Yencic James, HH.
The Foundation was designated as a national philanthropic partner of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority.
