Melissa Koch Merriam, EE
director of alumnae & volunteer services

Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Emporia State University. She began serving Alpha Sigma Alpha as a national council member in 2007 and then served as national president 2014-18. Prior to her terms on national council, Melissa held numerous volunteer roles including district facilitator and volunteer recruitment & placement team leader. She also served as a leadership consultant in 2000-01. Her involvement after her presidency included Alpha Sigma Alpha Foundation volunteer roles and leading the Ritual revision study team.
As the director of alumnae & volunteer services for Alpha Sigma Alpha, Melissa will manage all aspects of the Sorority’s alumnae and volunteer initiatives. She will oversee the volunteer recruitment, training, retention and recognition processes as well as alumnae programming and alumnae development.
