“One of our eight core values, GROWTH, promotes the continual development of our members, our chapters and our national organization.”

Are you considering starting a chapter of your own in Alpha Sigma Alpha? Congratulations! This is a very exciting process for you. There are many ways to start your own chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha:

» If your campus Panhellenic is in a position of ability to add another organization
» If you are from a campus that does not have national sororities
» If you are part of a local sorority who wants to affiliate with Alpha Sigma Alpha

No matter what position you are in, please be sure to ask questions. Alpha Sigma Alpha wants to work with you!

Alpha Sigma Alpha policy on extension

We believe in expanding our national organization and growing our membership. Alpha Sigma Alpha collaborates with universities and colleges to add new chapters of Alpha Sigma Alpha on their campus. Extension is pivotal to the growth and development of the national organization. When Alpha Sigma Alpha considers a campus for extension, different criteria is used to determine if a campus is a good match for the organization.

NPC policy on extension

Alpha Sigma Alpha welcomes questions regarding colonization and starting new chapters. As a member of the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), Alpha Sigma Alpha abides by polices set forth by NPC. These rules help to govern the extension process. The National Panhellenic Conference has an extension committee to assist colleges and universities with the process of starting new chapters. You can contact the NPC administrative office at npccentral@npcwomen.org to begin the process of extension.
