How to Deal with Rejection
Who are we kidding – a job search is a process! From condensing our resume to perfecting our cover letter, we refresh our email in hopes of the company’s recruiter to follow up with an application confirmation and a potential interview. Once the interview is set, we visit Pinterest to find the “power” outfit and find Forbes’ article to help us prepare for the interview. We are always buzzing after an interview, questioning if we nailed it or if we forgot to explain ourselves in one area. The anticipated email or phone call comes in with the word “but” and we feel this sense of failure.
Pause. You are not a failure. This article outlines the post-rejection whoas. Being rejected from a job you invested so much time and emotion into can be devastating or constructive. The result is totally up to you.
