The Academy is Alpha Sigma Alpha’s regional leadership conference dedicated to providing collegiate members with opportunities for personal development and leadership training.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in networking experiences, a keynote program and educational workshop sessions all focused elevating the influence of women in the world.

Registration Fees

Regular registration: $70 per person
Late registration: $80 per person
*Onsite registration: $100 per person

*Onsite registration applies to any attendee not registered before arriving at the event. Payment must be presented at the registration table the day of the event. This does not apply to members sent to replace another registered member.

Attendees have until 11:59 p.m. ET on the deadline date to register. Registrations submitted after 11:59 p.m. ET are considered late and subject to the late registration fee.

Who registers my chapter?

Chapter presidents and treasurers are responsible for registering all chapter members by the registration deadline.

All collegiate chapters will send 12 collegiate chapter members to The Academy for the 2023 events.

Advisors are encouraged to attend so that they can support their collegiate chapters. Advisors can register at the regular registration rate and engage with the collegiate officer programming sessions throughout the day.

**Attending advisors do not count toward a chapter’s minimum attendance requirement and need to register individually.

Reminders for chapter presidents and treasurers:

  • Chapters must pay the registration fee for the minimum attendance requirement.
  • The minimum attendance requirement per chapter is 12 members, but you may register more than 12 members if you wish.
  • Chapters should only submit one registration form. Please contact Allison Ball, program coordinator, for assistance in adding or changing registrants after submission.
  • Dietary restriction and food allergy information is needed for registration. Collect this information from members prior to registering.
  • Special accommodation information is needed for registration. Collect this information from members prior to registering.
  • The Academy t-shirt is available for purchase during registration. Collect shirt sizes prior to registering.
  • Emergency contact information including emergency contact name, emergency contact relationship to member, emergency contact email and emergency phone number is needed for registration. Collect this information from members prior to registering.
  • If there are concerns about meeting your chapter’s attendance requirement, please contact Allison Ball, program coordinator, for assistance.

 

Registration will open for the Fall events in September 2023.

Hotel Information

All chapters planning to stay overnight are responsible for making reservations and paying for their hotel accommodations. It is suggested that chapters traveling more than 150 miles from the event stay at the hotel Friday evening.

Chapters will receive a special group room rate at each hotel (listed below). When making hotel reservations, mention “Alpha Sigma Alpha” to get the discounted group room rate.

Volunteer

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Workshop facilitators are necessary in providing collegiate members with excellent Alpha Sigma Alpha programming. Each selected facilitator will be assigned an Alpha Sigma Alpha workshop that has already been developed based on interests expressed on the workshop facilitator application when submitted.

Benefits of workshop facilitation:

  • Educate collegiate members on relevant topics
  • Gain facilitation experience
  • Travel stipend
  • Network with other alumnae, volunteers and collegiate members

 

EVENT SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS

Event support volunteers are necessary in providing all attendees with an excellent experience at The Academy. All selected event support volunteer will work with national headquarters staff members to assist with event set-up and registration.

Benefits of volunteering as event support:

  • Experience assisting with onsite event execution
  • Work directly with national headquarters staff member(s)
  • Reimbursement of travel and lodging cost
  • Network with other alumnae, volunteers and collegiate members
