7 Tips to Help You Squeeze in More Exercise Today
“Exercise? Time to myself? What’s that?” is something I hear from adults all of the time.
Whether you’re a college student or an adult out there in the workforce (or some combination of both, like I once was), finding the time to exercise can be extremely difficult. I get it. There was a time in my life when I was 22 years old, working full time in an office as an assistant and commuting to graduate school classes at night. I ate a lot of my meals on the go, slept terribly and spent my free time running marathons…of TV show series on Netflix.
I woke up one day groggily wondering how in less than a year I went up 3 dress sizes. As I sat there eating my breakfast of Poptarts and Coca Cola, I knew that something had to change. I had to prioritize my health some more. The problem was finding the time to take care of myself! How was I supposed to find the time to exercise and put together healthier meals? I had to work nine hours a day, sit in traffic for two and then in class for three. But the answer was simple: I had to MAKE the time. This article is filled with great tips for people who find themselves in the shoes I was in once. If you want something that bad, you will find a way!
I found my way. Several years later, I am now 50 pounds lighter and an National Physique Committee figure competitor. What once used to be 30 minutes a day on the treadmill changed my life forever. I am happy, healthy and have a new passion!
