The Special Olympics, one of Alpha Sigma Alpha’s national philanthropies, remains important to members long after they graduate. Each year, the Special Olympics touches lives in hundreds of communities across the nation and around the world. Each year hundreds of Alpha Sigma Alpha members make a difference to this important organization. Members also contribute their time and talents to the S. June Smith Center. The S. June Smith Center is a private non-profit agency providing early identification, education, training and therapy to infants and children in Lancaster County, PA with developmental disabilities and delays. Dr. S. June Smith, founder of the center, was a lifelong Kappa Kappa chapter member. Many chapters have adopted this important organization as their beneficiary.
