New Graduates

Congratulations on your recent graduation and on your exciting transition to alumnae membership. Alpha Sigma Alpha alumnae have many opportunities to stay involved. As an alumna, you have the freedom to choose how you participate in the sorority and have the opportunity to have fun with sisters, make a difference in our national philanthropies and serve in leadership roles. Some of the closest friendships sisters make are with members they did not meet in college. Instead their alumnae experience helped to create their lifelong friendship.
Making the transition to life after college can be tough. Alpha Sigma Alpha sends all graduating seniors the book, Life after School. Explained (Cap & Compass,) which is a great resource for dealing with post graduation experiences from job searching to apartment hunting and everything in between.
Alpha Sigma Alpha has several resources that may be helpful to you in your professional development:
- Lee Ann Howard, ΑΒ, is the owner of an executive search firm, wrote an article about career and life choices for the Phoenix.
- Dr. Karin Anderson, ΓΛ, associate professor of psychology and counselor education at Concordia University, wrote an article for the Phoenix about making authentic choices that will lead you to something you are passionate about.
- An Alpha Sigma Alpha alumnae group has also been created on LinkedIn, providing a great venue for networking and professional development
