Lynne ChambersNPC Delegate
Lynne Rachal Chambers, Α

Lynne joined the Alpha Chapter at Longwood University in 1966 and served her chapter as scholarship chairman, treasurer, standards chairman, first vice president and Panhellenic delegate. She also served as Panhellenic treasurer and was her chapter's Elizabeth Bird Small Award nominee. Lynne graduates magna cum laude and  earned a master's degree in humanities at the University of Richmond.

Lynne has served the national organization since 1972 as province director, convention co-chairman, awards chairman, bylaws committee member and first alternate delegate to the National Panhellenic Conference. She has served on three ad hoc committees and as a facilitator for the Emma Coleman Frost Leadership Institute, District Day events and national convention. She was honored with the Wilma Wilson Sharp Award in 1996 and as District 4 advisor of the year in 2007.

Since 1990 Lynne has been the chapter advisor for the Epsilon Gamma Chapter at Virginia Commonwealth University where she has been honored twice as sorority advisor of the year and as the student organization advisor of the year. She also serves as treasurer for the Richmond Alumnae Chapter.

Professionally, Lynne is the accounting manager for EastPay, Inc., a multi-state not for profit banking association that promotes electronic payments in the southeastern region of the United States. She lives in Richmond, VA, with her husband, Jim, and enjoys keeping up with her three grown children and their families.


Sue ZorichakNPC First Alternate Delegate
Sue Zorichak, ΒΒ

Sue’s interest in Panhellenic began immediately after she pledged Beta Beta at the University of Northern Colorado in 1977. She has been a national volunteer for 29 continuous years and has attended every national convention since 1980. Her first job after college was as a field representative for Alpha Sigma Alpha from 1981 to 1982. Sue has since held the positions of collegiate editor of the Phoenix magazine, 1982-1984; feature editor of the Phoenix magazine, 1984-1988; national vice president of alumnae, 1988-1990; and historian, July 1990-July 2002. As historian, she researched, wrote, edited and coordinated production and publication of the sorority’s 100-year history book, The Years Behind Us. Sue served as the NPC second alternate delegate from July 2002 to July 2010, when she was appointed first alternate.

Sue helped re-establish the Boulder Area Alumnae Panhellenic in 2009 and was a member of the Twin Cities (Minn.) Alumnae Panhellenic Association from 1982 to 1996, serving on the executive board from 1985 to 1989. She has been a member of the Denver Alumnae Chapter since 1996 and was chosen as Denver Area Panhellenic Woman of the Year in April 2008. In July 2008 she received the sorority's Helen Corey Award. She has also served on the Beta Beta advisory board since 2007.

Ellen MorrisNPC Second Alternate Delegate
Ellen Funk Morris, ΒΛ

Ellen joined the Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha on the campus at the University of Central Arkansas in the spring of 1964.

She began serving nationally as a field representative in 1969 and has held a national volunteer position since 1980. After serving as province and region director, national scholarship chairman, national secretary and many years as convention choir coordinator, she was selected as the NPC first alternate delegate and now serves as the second alternate delegate. Ellen represented Alpha Sigma Alpha on the Denver Area Panhellenic executive board and served as their president in 1985-86. She was chosen Denver area Panhellenic Woman of the Year in 1996.

 

Eleanor WilliamsNPC Third Alternate Delegate
Eleanor Borbas Williams, Α

Eleanor attended Longwood University and pledged Alpha Sigma Alpha in 1974. She served the chapter as parliamentarian and editor.

Eleanor has been a volunteer for Alpha Sigma Alpha for the past 29 years. She has held the positions of province director; chairman of recruitment; and chairman of colonies. She served on the centennial celebration committee. Her most enjoyable experiences were as chairman of the centennial convention and two subsequent conventions (Nashville and Bonita Springs). Eleanor began serving as third alternate to the NPC delegation in 2004.  Eleanor serves as chairman of the NPC research committee and also serves on the college Panhellenics committee with schools in New Jersey and New York. Also, she has served as the Alpha chapter advisor since September 1980.
